Galveston Weekend – September 2024

We headed down to Galveston for a fun little weekend getaway this month! Not the prettiest beaches in the world, but better than nothing haha! And so nice to go in the fall once everyone else has gone back to school, the water is nice and we have the beach practically to ourselves!

So nice to be surrounded by men that can drag all the beach stuff to the beach and I can just follow along haha!

Love this nugget’s beach hair!

Just so good for the body and soul to get in that ocean water. πŸ™‚

My sister told me to get us a big river inner tube for the beach, so I sent her a selfie using it! It was awesome!

LUNCH

Deep conversations don’t you know. πŸ˜‰

We love a good boogie board session!

Got in some reading!

Treats and snacks!

Proof of parents!

So this guy came by with a sno cone cart – genius if you ask me.

We came back from the beach, cleaned up and ordered dinner while watching the Astros game!

The next day after we did worship, we went to the Moody Gardens Aquarium.

We love a good penguin exhibit, especially after that big penguin project we did at our half day school last year!

Seals and sea lions are my favorite!

We love the sharks too!

Love this baby boy of mine, who is not looking so much like a baby anymore!

So stinky haha!

So fun walking through this tunnel!

That evening, my sister met us down at the beach to take family pictures for us! She is a wedding photographer and does great work!

So many great shots of the boys!

She always does such great shots for us!

The sunset was perfect!

I just love being their mama. πŸ™‚

And I have loved watching them grow up together. πŸ™‚

It was such a beautiful night!

We headed back to the beach the next morning for a little more time before heading home!

I thought this jelly fish was so cool!

There was nooooo one there haha…

Beach bros!

There was no one there! Just us!

Love us!

It was a little chilly today!

Jacob played a little football with the boys.

After we cleaned up, we hit Sunflower Bakery on our way home!

Yummy ice coffee!

My handsome Jude man.

My little cute nugget πŸ™‚

This was so good haha!

So. much. good food.

And look who happened to be parked at the cruise terminal, the Carnival Breeze haha! We took a cruise on this ship this past Spring Break!

That’s our beach weekend! We were so happy to have gone, but so happy to be home too! πŸ™‚

Some pictures from our week and at carnival this weekend, and a big shout out to the bestest best friend I could ask for, @erica_hightower and @rachel_goble for bringing tons of provisions to keep us alive while the flu took us all five of us down this month. 🀣 so grateful for friends that stick by you through the ups and downs of life haha! πŸ€ͺ (My apologies for never being on time with my posts. 😁😎)
