Last week my friends! We are so close to being done! Food boredom has definitely hit me lately, or better yet, I’m just tired of putting forth so much effort I think haha…this mama is just tired! But we push through, we are almost done and I know it will be worth it in the end. No Whole30 is absolutely perfect, I just don’t think it every could be, but we do the best we can and finish strong!
I am hoping to do a quick reintroductions post soon…I do advise that you read up on reintroducing food. The last thing you want to do is go out and binge on a lot of foods your body isn’t used to processing now and adding multiple things back in all at once – you will never know what is making you feel bad if you do it that way. You owe it to yourself to gain some insight into your body by taking things slow. And what is the point of going through that detox if you are just going to go crazy and revert back to old habits! Think long and hard about what you need or don’t need at this point, what is worth it to you and what isn’t worth feeling bad.
I have been contemplating this a lot the last few days, because at this point this strange unsettled feeling comes on that makes me almost afraid to go back to eating certain things. I don’t want to “mess up” my progress. And I wonder why that is. Is it because I know certain foods are not good for me to eat but I enjoy eating them, or is it my body trying to tell me HEY crazy lady, you really don’t need that! Maybe it’s a little of both. At any rate, it’s worth listening to those feelings and thoughts, and taking the reintroductions slow. The whole point of 30 days of Whole Foods is to reset our bodies and learn more about them. Take advantage of what you’ve accomplished and be proud of yourself!
This last week may be a little repetitive, like I said, I’m tired and we have had a lot going on lately, so feel free to sub in anything you’d like!
