Well, if you have ever been to our house, then you know that our boys have a HUGE obsession with Monster Jam trucks. We have probably over 100 trucks (not exaggerating!), books and shirts and cups and honestly could probably open our own merchandise store. Jackson has a Grave Digger pillow and we even went to a Monster Jan show last year!
So when we were planning on coming to St. Louis, Jacob reminded me that Big Foot (the original monster truck) was out there! It used to be in the Hazlewood area of town, but recently moved to Pacific, MO, which was a little over an hour away. So after we grabbed breakfast in our hotel and let Jenson take a quick morning nap, we were on our way!
I love that sweet face so much. Jackson sure does love himself some sausage. After breakfast, we drove over to Pacific, enjoying the scenery and chatting. I had called ahead of time to figure out where exactly the truck was, but it was still funny when we drove up because it is parked in the parking lot of a little grocery store! People just come and go, there was BBQ for sale out front and souvenir trucks and shirts inside. A sweet older gentleman drove up and asked if we wanted him to take a picture if all of us, so of course we said yes!
After checking out the Big Foot and little store, we drive a couple of blocks behind the grocery store and went to the Big Foot headquarters (for lack of a better term), to see where they worked in the Monster trucks and the offices and mini souvenir shop. We grabbed a few T-shirt’s, then went back to the grocery store and cafe for the boys to play while Jenson took a nap, and then we found a place for lunch.
Pacific has such a quaint little downtown area, old buildings and shops, little square kind of feel. We are at Pacific Brew House, and it was delicious. Took a while to get our food but we enjoyed it.
After lunch, we were driving out of town and passed this cute coffee shop called “Little Ireland,” so of course I ran inside and grabbed us coffees and the boys some enormous cookies. Loved this place!
We drove back to our hotel and met the boys take a nap, and then that evening we had dinner with Jacob’s grandmother at Cracker Barrel.
We enjoyed our meal together and then came back to the hotel to crash! Another fun and successful day!
