Wat wat?! A trip with no kiddos?! Who are these people haha?!? This summer, Jacob had the opportunity to join his company in New York city as they rang in their company to the stock exchange. This past year he has been working insane hours helping get the company ready to go public, so it was really nice to be involved in making things official. So, the day before my birthday, we headed to New York!
We always have to get a shuttle bus selfie! We were up early this morning to drive into Houston, so I was glad we made it on time haha!
Made it to our flight!
Norman the panda came along too haha! Jacob’s boss saw him in my bag and was like uhh, why do you have a stuffed panda in your carry on….I had to explain that he travels with us if we don’t have the boys, and I take pictures of him doing “travel things” and send them to the boys. They love it!
My parents were so kind to come kind of short notice to stay with the boys while we were gone. My mom always keeps them busy and happy hehe!
One of my favorite things in life…coffee, blueberry muffin and reading on a flight, going somewhere fun. Can’t beat it.
We landed in New Jersey, right on time!
We took a car to the Wall Street Hotel, and got checked into our room. It was really cute!
We really enjoyed staying here!
Norman enjoyed it too!
The boys had fun making pizza with my parents. 🙂
While we got ready for a company dinner at the New York Stock Exchange!
After meeting everyone in the hotel lobby, we walked down to the stock exchange and were shocked to see this huge banner hanging in front! It was so cool! Jacob and his boss have worked SO hard this last year, just so proud of them and all they have accomplished together.
Most of their team!
And the supportive spouses haha!
We went inside and saw a Campbell soup display, had to get a picture of that!
It was so cool being inside the stock exchange! Seeing where everyone worked during the day, and just seeing the old building itself.
We had appetizers and then dinner right on the floor here!
So cool! Once in a lifetime experience kind of feeling. 🙂
This is where they will ring the bell tomorrow to make things official!
We crack up all the time at the height difference between Jacob and his boss, they’re so silly haha…
All lit up at night! It was so pretty! A very long day has come to an end, so we headed back to our room to sleep and get ready for the big day tomorrow!
