A number of people flew back home right after ringing in the bell, but we opted to stay another night so we could explore a bit more!
Started our day off with sleeping in a bit and Jacob grabbing yummy iced coffee for us from La Columbe! Norman approves!
The last time we were in New York when Jackson was a baby, we did a lot of the traditional tourist things, so today we just wanted to wonder a bit around the city and around central park. We hadn’t spent much time there when we were here before and thought it would be nice!
We took the subway over closer to the park and then walked the rest of the way. Love the city scenes!
The streets were wider on this part of town, you could see more of the sky haha…
Loved these little restaurants along the way!
Hello Central Park!!!
Yes we are without our kids, and we went to the Central Park Zoo today hehe…
Loved how this guy was just waiting to chat with us a bit!!
Penguin exhibit!
And the seals…this zoo was small but it was beautiful, they definitely made the most of their space!
The bears!
Loved seeing all of the tall city buildings in the background too!
This guy had the right idea because it was HOT outside!
The prettiest little zoo. 🙂
They had a little red panda here, we were able to catch a glimpse of his sweet face!
They also had an indoor exhibit full of birds and other small animals and reptiles.
Felt super brave today and grabbed a hot dog from a cart vendor haha…I’ve always wanted to sit in central park eating a hot dog, you only live once, right??
After lunch, we walked through the zoo area and headed to see other parts of the park.
We passed a little dog park area…
There are just so many unique features like this throughout the park, little surprises around every turn.
And after days of not really seeing trees, it was so refreshing to see some greenery!
The Bethesda Terrace fountain and pond, so many movies scenes have been shot here!
You could go through this pass through rather than cross the road to get to the fountain.
The line to ride in a row boat was incredible, I could not believe how many people were waiting to do this!
We also walked over to the Belvedere castle. It was a smaller than I thought it would be, but the views at the top were really nice!
Beautiful views from the top!
The castle was mainly just a walk up to the top and then back down, very narrow staircase that we had to take turns going up and down!
We walked through the Shakespeare Gardens next, so pretty!
These gardens made me so happy!
We passed the Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre next, there are just so many hidden things within Central Park, you could spend an entire day there for sure!
We passed the Natural History Museum on the way back to the subway, we did this last time we were here with Jackson and really enjoyed it!
We went back to the hotel and got ready for dinner and another show with Jacob’s boss!
We had dinner at Nobu and saw this beautiful building on the way to the show.
Back to Times Square for Aladdin!
Ready to go!
This theatre was beautiful, just loved the intricate vintage nature of everything here.
We facetimed the boys to tell them goodnight and give them a peak at the theatre before the show started!
Another good night, we really loved the Aladdin show! Have really loved spending time with these two people!
That’s our third and final full day, we head back tomorrow! Check out the links below for our first two days!
