I love making these little gelatin gummies for us to eat! They are so easy, and the gelatin is SO good for your gut! I started trying to make these again after I had some health issues this year, so I thought it would be good to have a short and sweet post on how to make them!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup any juice (We prefer grape juice or apple juice!)
- 3 tbs gelatin (Vital Proteins beef gelatin is a great brand!)
- 2 tbs honey
- 1/4 cup coconut milk (You can make them without this too.)
- Candy molds or container
What to do:
- Pour your juice into a medium sized saucepan.
- Before you turn the heat on, sprinkle the gelatin evenly over the juice and let it sit for a few minutes to bloom. (see pics below!)
- Once your gelatin looks all wrinkly on top, turn the stove onto medium heat and stir slowly and continuously until the gelatin is dissolved. (If your gelatin is not dissolving and looks clumpy, turn the heat down and continue to flatten out the gelatin and mix it in.)
- Once your liquid looks like everything is mixed in, you can turn the heat off and stir in the coconut milk and honey.
- Pour the gelatin mixture into little candy molds, or into a flat 8×8 or 9×9 pan, and place into the refrigerator for the mixture to cool and turn into gummies!
- Pop out your gummies and eat, or slice your gummies from the pan and enjoy!
This is the beginning after you first sprinkle the gelatin on top of the juice. You will see it thicken and wrinkle up over the next few minutes!
My favorite brand of coconut milk!
I just grabbed these little candy molds from H-E-B, they were so cute and fun!
Enjoy! Again, this is so easy and they’re so fun! There are tons of recipes out there for other gummies, this one was just the easiest and most straight forward one I had found so far!
