As I was working on our July family post, I realized that I had way too many pictures from this weekend to pick and choose from, so I decided to make a single post for it. It was such a fun weekend that it deserves it’s own post anyway!!
Jackson especially has been wanting to see Dude Perfect live, so when tickets went on sale last December, we grabbed us some and have kept it a big secret this whole time haha! They thought we were headed straight to Galveston for the weekend and had no idea we were stopping off in Houston to see the show and stay the night hehe!
We dropped off our stuff at the hotel and then drove over to the Toyota Center to park and get our passes.
It was so hot and bright but the boys were so excited!
We opted to do one of the VIP 3 packages so we could get in earlier, and the kids got a cool hat included too!
Grabbed us a spot on the floor to enjoy our pizza hehe!
We ran into our besties!! It was so fun being there together!
Getting ready for the show to start!
I would not get floor seat in the middle for anyone going in the future, it was hard I think for people to see because people kept standing up and blocking the view. We had seats right on the side and it was great!
The show was VERY loud, I was wishing I would have brought our noise canceling headphones for Jenson!!
He was just so so happy, I loved it so much. 🙂
Had to get a shot of Panda!!
The had so much fun watching all of the trick shot competitions!
At the end, they all sat down and talked about their faith in God, and then closed with a prayer. It was just such a great, wholesome night. It was so nice to be able to take our kids to a show that ended with talking about God, just so neat!
The next morning, we packed up and headed down to Galveston for a couple of nights! The boys hadn’t been to the beach yet this summer and were excited to go!
Since our hotel was down on the East end, we went to a beach nearby that my sister recommended.
It was nice and not crowded at all! You can’t drive and park on this beach but you could park nearby and walk.
We got things unloaded and set up, Jackson spent the whole afternoon on the boogie board!
My little surfer boy!
I love Jude’s happy face so much! There were so many beautiful houses on this beach too!
I also love his happy face!
Got to read for a few minutes!
I love going to the beach so much, it’s just so relaxing to me.
We all got cleaned up after a full day of beach time, and Jacob went and picked up Mexican food for us at “The Original Mexican Cafe.” It was so yummy!
Someone did not want to get up for breakfast the next morning!
After we had breakfast, we watched church and worshipped together.
Then we headed down to The Strand to grab some lunch!
We hadn’t eaten at Hubcap Grill before, but they had the best burgers! They were delicious!
Silly boy, keeping himself entertained while we waited haha!
Stopping for a picture on the Strand and then on to the next thing!
We took the boys the Galveston Railroad Museum, it had been a long time since we had been there!
Brought back a lot of memories from when they were younger!
I love how you can walk through some of the old train cars and see what they looked like when they were in service!
The mailcar is one of my favorites!
Making some phone calls!
And that’s it for the afternoon!
We went back to the hotel to swim and play basketball until dinner time.
I love a cute kid wrapped up in a colorful beach towel!
Proof of mom shot haha!
The next morning, we ate breakfast and headed back to CS! It was a nice weekend, ending our summer with a bang!
Sounds like this was a perfect weekend for the boys!
