San Diego, CA Vaca – Day 6: Seminole church of Christ and North/South Park

After breakfast, we drove over to Seminole church of Christ for worship services. Everyone was so nice here! We enjoyed spending a few moments with brothers and sisters in like faith and focusing on God. I always love worshipping in other areas because there are always people there trying to serve God too! After worship, we drove back over to our hotel and grabbed some Smashburger so Jackson could run around a little and take nap. We wanted to have some time to do something this afternoon since we are about to leave to come home!

I usually try to get a picture of the building or sneaky pictures of worship but totally forgot! eek!

So little man ended up sleeping over two hours for his nap haha which is so rare… “Mr. I only sleep if I have to…” so we were able to make it over to the Railroad museum in Balboa park. But instead, we decided to give North and South Park another try haha. We drove over to a restaurant called URBN Coal-Fired Pizza and had dinner, and then I found a park for Jackson to play a little bit close by.

When Jackson woke up, all he wanted was a BANANA. Nothing else. So the nice people at the front desk got a couple from the kitchen for us haha…

This pizza place was so yummy, we ordered a half Mashed Potato Pizza and half Palmetto which had meatball and provolone… For real, I want that mashed potato pizza like all the time now. Sometimes I crave food we have had on trips before, like I always am wanting to go back to Sydney to get some of the turkish toast bread and iced coffee they had at that little coffee shop next to our hotel but alas that is a far trip to take again. Maybe one day. ;0) I think this pizza is going to be another one of those things. The salad had pear and candied walnuts, it was so delicious!

Just running around the restaurant a little bit… yeah, we’re those people. They were pretty laid back here though, it was all open and there was even a dog coming in and out so we weren’t worried haha…

View down the street… there were a TON of places to eat and just walk around into little shops here.

We drove over to the playground and let Jackson run off some energy, and so Mommy could use up some of those carbs she just ate hehe!

Always a fan of the slides!
This random kid took a liking to Jackson and followed him around a bit haha…

I love this picture, there is something so fun about just seeing your kid so happy. I love his smile and laugh so much.

I don’t know how we keep ending up in ice cream parlors… It’s like I know once I go back home it’s a no go again. ;0) At least for the next 6-7 weeks! (Thanks Amy for all the great suggestions!) The Daily Scoop on Juniper was in South Park, so about a mile and a half from the pizza place. It was good, but Moo Time Creamery had them beat, sorry!

We came back to the hotel and took a walk… working off that sugar again! Eek! Jackson loves running along the paths behind our hotel and smelling the flowers. There’s a good chance he may become a horticulturist as much as he likes picking and looking at “flow-flows” It’s really funny.

Little track star… “Ready, set, GO!”

Couldn’t wait to get back to the hotel to eat his granola bar, had to just sit down and eat it here and ask Mommy to join him. :0)

Tomorrow (Monday) is our last full day here! Tuesday, we will be on our way back home!! Planning to go up to La Jolla and see some sea lions!
