San Diego, CA – June 2023: Day 1

We had the hardest time deciding where to take our family vacation this year, we went back and for for months! Finally, sometime in March, my email sent me some memories from my Microsoft One storage, where I organize all of my photos, and they were memories from about 8 years ago when we took Jackson to San Diego when he was about 18 months old, and I thought, “Hey, that was a really fun trip!” I knew he didn’t really remember much from that trip, and that the other boys would probably enjoy it too, so our decision was made! San Diego, here we come!

We always take a car selfie when we head out hehe! On our way to the airport!

Made it to the airport parking and got on the shuttle!

It was SO nice having the boys able to help out with the luggage this trip haha! They each pushed one through the airport like little champs!

Airport pizza is the best, no? Hahaha…they sure liked it though!

Jackson brought my old ipad mini with him and took some pictures, I loved it SO much! So sweet.

Made it on the airplane! Ready to go!

I always feel like it’s such a HUGE accomplishment to get everyone through the gate and on the plane haha!

Love these munchkins!

Brother selfie!

Even brought Norman the panda along haha! He loves to travel!!!

Snuggles and a few minutes of reading!

Hey there San Diego!!!

Can’t wait to see you!!

Back on an airport shuttle again to go get our rental car!!

While we were waiting for our rental car, we saw this rental car company and thought it was so funny, so of course Jude needed a picture!

Getting it loaded up!

And ready to head to the hotel!

We stayed at the Mission Bay Resort this week, it was in a great location and had some nice water access on the bay!

We walked out here every evening!

Had a really nice pool area too!

We ate dinner at a restaurant by the pool, they had delicious fish tacos!

Love my boys so much!

Digging around for shells!

They also had smores for us to do tonight!

Verdict is in, yummy!

And of course impromptu football and keep away starts with these guys hehe, we had a nice ending to a long day!

Come back for the rest of the days of our trip!! If you want to check out our previous trip to San Diego, you can click on my Travel tab, or the links below!
