The next two pictures are from back in January. Obviously things weren’t quite the same this visit! Haha, so cute!
We got to Austin on Friday around 8:30, and after chatting for a while and letting the girls play, we decided to go to Mrs. Johnson’s donuts for a snack. They were so yummy! The shop has been open for 50 years or so, but has obviously changed hands a few times because now Habib runs the place! We loved that he didn’t change the name though!
Saturday, we took the pups out for a swim. It took Jacey about thirty minutes to finally get the hang of the swimming, she first didn’t want to leave the little ledge but then saw all of the dogs having fun and tried it out. I pushed her off a couple of times and held her out so she would kick around and swim. After that she figured out how to kind of jump off and swim out to get a toy. We laughed because the other dogs jumped out into the water and she would kind of step off into the water all dainty like.
This is the “dainty” approach I was referring to haha… |
Her first swim! Such a proud parent! |
Cousin Pups! |
Her tail reminded me of Free Willy, it would go back and forth in the water while she swam! |
Saturday afternoon we had lunch at Taco Deli (supa yummy tacos and crack addictive queso!) and then caught up with Amy and David Dulak to see their new little girl. We then took a quick tour of Ashley’s new workplace (we saw Adam’s office earlier that day – awesome view!) and then headed home to hang out. That evening we ate dinner at Salvation Pizza and then went to a baseball game at Dell park. Good times!
And of course, if you know me at all you know I am a big fan of ice cream, so we went to Amy’s ice cream after the game. Again, super yummy!
