After years and years of doing birthday parties for each of the boys, we decided to do experiences for the boys this year for their birthdays. Jenson asked to go to Monster Jam in February, and Jude asked to go to Sea World. I thought since we spent the weekend in San Antonio, I would do a separate post for all of the many pictures we took rather than cramming them into my May family post!
Can we first just start by saying, “HOW IN THE WORLD IS MY JUDE BABY SEVEN!?!?!” I’ve been shocked about this for days now haha…he’s just growing up into the sweetest, kindest, most patient and creative little boy, we love him so much!
Please ignore my tired mama eyes and focus on this amazing little boy’s sweet smile, he was SO happy today to be celebrated!
We celebrated his birthday at home after school, you can see more pictures in my May Catching Up with the Campbells post! His teacher was SO sweet today and made him feel so celebrated, he had such a blast all day!
We headed out Friday to San Antonio for a couple of days of fun!
Birthday boy is ready to go! He’s been looking forward to this all year!
We grabbed dinner at Saltgrass next door to our hotel and then spent the evening swimming!
We made it! Ready for a fun day!
They have a kids roller coaster that Jackson loves, Jenson rode it this time too!
There they go!
We were so disappointed that the Sea Lion show was temporarily canceled, but we had a good time feeding these big guys!
We were cracking up because this one big Sea Lion kept making so much noise and stealing all of the fish from the other ones!
Jude loved seeing the little sea otter guys too!
Waiting to watch the dolphins!!!
I love watching them watch things haha…
Walked through the penguin exhibits, these little guys are so stinky haha!
After the penguins, we got some ice cream and sat down for a bit across from the games…of course the boys wanted to give it a try. We told the the games were almost impossible to win but they wanted to do it anyway, I bet you can guess how happy they were when no one won anything haha…
Saying hello to the sea turtles! While we were doing this, Jacob and Jackson went and rode the river raft ride and got soaked haha!
Waiting to see Shamu!
So much of Sea World has turned into a theme park, and since we arent huge roller coaster riders it kind of limited what was there for us to do. The Water Ski show was canceled too, so I don’t know that this was our most favorite visit to Sea World but we did have a good time overall.
We watched some trainers with the dolphins on the way out!
Showing off his souvenirs!
He was SO excited to expand his stuffie collection haha…
When Shamu helps you eat your breakfast…
We opted to do church in our hotel room and then headed out to the Natural Bridge Caverns on our way home!
All packed up and ready to go!
The boys had seen the big billboard on our way into town and were just begging us to go, they love caves!
Ready to go down! Get ready for lots of random cavern shots hehe!
This was my favorite room, it was so beautiful with the water! That water so so crystal clear!
I loved this area too, it was so cool how you could see right down to the bottom!
Just a happy former science teacher showing her kids some caverns hehe!
Of course we had to taste some cavern water on our way out! So crisp and clean!
I hope you enjoyed Jude’s birthday weekend! I love nothing more than sharing fun experiences with my boys!
I loved all your cave pictures! Looks like y’all had a nice weekend!
