Corpus Christi, TX – July 2021: Day 2

It’s funny when I look back on other years we have been down to Corpus, we do similar/same things, but it’s just always such a good time. We really love it here!

Today was our first beach day! We are ready to go! We drove down the road a bit but since we were staying on Padre Island, we didn’t have to go far to find some good beach space!

The weather was perfect. It was warm but it was SO windy that you really didn’t feel the heat.

Once all of the obligatory family photos were had, it was time to play!

It was SO windy haha, I was cracking up at Jenson’s hair! (P.S. – If you are looking for some more modest swimwear, Geode is such a great site for that! I love the swim shorts they have!)

I found this little surfer guy on Amazon, he was so fun to play in the waves with!

It is my favorite thing that he does this every time he gets in the water!

We found some kites at Wal-Mart when we had visited my mom, the boys were able to color them and then we flew them today for a little bit!

Best beach drink ever. I bring one every time we go!

I love it when Jacob takes pictures of the boys and me without me knowing, we were so happy just sitting in the water and talking with each other…they really are the light of my life. 🙂

Time to build a sand castle!

I have so many memories of looking for shells with my Daddy growing up, it’s so fun to do the same thing with my boys now!

I read for about 3.7 seconds haha…but hey I will count it!

After we went back to our room and got cleaned up, we went to Padre Island Burger Company for dinner and oh my, they had the most delicious burgers! It was the most delicious ending to our day!

Back to the room for some snuggles and TV before bed! These days are so rejuvenating for me, I just feel like the beach calls me each summer and I must go haha… I told Jacob it is a dream of mine to have a small place on the beach one day somewhere, who knows if that will ever happen but it is fun to think about!

Check out our Day 3 adventures here!
