We spent a couple more days in Waco, and there was still more we could have done! There’s also the Dr. Pepper museum and so many trails and things outside to do. On our third day we headed to the Baylor Discovery Center.
The science museum is on the Baylor Campus, it was our first time there and we really liked it!
Jenson wore his mask for about 6 minutes haha, long enough for us to get into the museum and get into the exhibits!
They had the cutest Paw Patrol exhibits for the boys to play in. Jackson was a little old for it but they had a good time running around and playing.
I thought they looked so funny in the paw patroller haha…
Curious about what the skull of a whale looks like???
Jude loved the big mosasaurus hanging from the ceiling!
They had different sections throughout the museum, this was the cave section, it felt like you were walking through an actual cave!
They had a smaller version of the Mammoth National Monument, which we were actually planning doing tomorrow on our way out!
It was really cool how you could walk on top of the mammoth “fossil site!”
Texas Forests exhibit!
Just thought it was cool how they featured different sections of Texas here!
They had a Native American section as well, thought this was neat to walk through.
Then you could walk outside and tour through an older city setting, with different buildings that would make up an old Texas city.
The chapel was up first…
And then the market…
And then off to school!
There was a section over different state animals and plants, which was fun because Jackson just finished up a section of state symbols this month!
I loved this exhibit, it was a water sheds exhibit! A.k.a. Jenson’s personal massive water table haha…
You could start boats at the top and watch them travel through the different sections.
This fun body movement section, the boys thought it was hilarious.
And last but not least, had to sit in a truck before we left haha, I thought it looked like they were about to rob a bank!
We went back to the hotel for some rest/hang out time and dinner! Phone call anyone??
We walked over to the lake area for a walk after dinner.
Took a walk around with my big boy, I love having one on one time with them and just seeing what their thoughts are about things.
Another good day, ended with snuggles and books.
Our last morning we ate breakfast and packed up, this picture cracked me up, they always play monkeys or something on the luggage cart and Jacob was obviously trying to get out of the way!
Waco National Monument today!
Mammoth crossing! Look out!
This site was stumbled upon in the late 1970s, early 1980s, and mammoth after mammoth kept being discovered, I think they said 23-24 in all.
We walked inside, it was a very quick exhibit to look at but nothing like we had seen before. The boys thought it was really cool.
Sorry kids, your mom used to be a science teacher, she’s going to drag you to things like this for the rest of your lives hahahaha….
There were some very short trails around the exhibit, so we walked through one of those to get back to the front.
After we finished up with the mammoths, we grabbed lunch and found a good spot to eat.
Cameron Park had so many great look out points, trails and places to stop and eat. We really enjoyed our spot today!
It was beautiful up here!
So grown up, I’m not ok with it.
SO many trails, I had no idea!
We headed home with three sleepy boys, it was a good trip!
Check out the post for our first two days below!
That science museum looked really neat! The Paw Patrol exhibit cracked me up! I didn’t realize there were so many things to do in Waco!
