One of my favorite posts to do all year, to look back at everything I’ve read and reflect on what I enjoyed the most. I hope you enjoy seeing my reads and can add to your “to be read” list!
I read 91 books this year, my personal record haha! Granted, I did listen to a good amount too, but still, that felt like a lot for me! Hoping to break 100 in 2024!
I love looking at my Goodreads app to keep track of all everything I have read, so these screenshots below are of the books I read this year and some stats about them! If you want to follow along with me on Goodreads, check out my profile! I keep track of the books I’m reading, what I’ve read and the reviews on books I’ve made there!
First up, here are my 2023 books!! Following this, I’ll share my favorites!
Now, on to my favorites from 2023! This is always SO hard, one, because I am an indecisive person, but two, because how in the world do you pick THREE out of 91 books?!?!?
Drumroll please……my top pick from 2023 was…“Happiness for Beginners” by Katherine Center.
There were a lot of books I read this year that I just really enjoyed, but I feel like I didn’t have one in particular that just really stuck with me and was just absolutely amazing, like I can’t move on once I finished. This one though, had a lot of thoughts that stayed with me when I was done, and overall I just enjoyed the story.
My second favorite this year was My Lady Jane. I actually listened to this book and I just could not put it down, could not stop laughing. I loved the narrator, I loved the content. If you are a fan of Monty Python, Robin Hood Men in Tights or Princess Bride, this is right up your alley.
My third favorite this year was the Finlay Donovan series, I really have enjoyed this so much! It was so silly starting off the first book, I almost quit, but I read past the crazy and it just became so comical.
Other books I really enjoyed this year…
- “Take Me Home” – This one really got me into Beth Moran! Love her books!
- “Holiday Romance” and “Snowed In” – Catherine Walsh
- “Hello Stranger” – Katherine Center
- “Fourth Wing” – Rebecca Yarros (although content in this one was rough!)
- “The Senator’s Wife” – Liv Constantine
- “The Self Driven Child” – William Stixrud
- “Anxious Kids” – Michael Grose
Well 2023, that’s a wrap! On to a new year, with new books to devour! Hope you have been inspired to read more yourself, I just cannot imagine a life without books!
