You know, sometimes it’s nice to get away, but not go far away. ๐ Waco is only about an hour and a half from us, so occasionally we enjoy going over there for a few days, just eating good food and doing some fun things with the boys. We thought this Spring Break would be a good week to spend a few days over there, so we went!

First stop was Magnolia of course! We walked around, ate lunch and saw some of the newer parts they have added!

Waiting in line for food, just love these little guys of mine. ๐ I personally love getting the mac and cheese and grilled sandwich from the Cheddar Box truck!

Sno cone treats for dessert from a little food truck!

Sometimes I just look at their little faces and want to freeze time…each year he is just looking older and less like my little baby boy. ๐

The newer parts were so cute, lots of little shops to pop in and out of!

Family pic on the way out!

Before heading to our AirBnb, we stopped at the Maybourn Museum! You know we love a good science/discovery museum!

They had Pigeon and Elephant and Piggie exhibit, it was really cute! Our boys have loved those books over the years!

Gotta say hi to the big guy on the way in!

They have a Mammoth site replica that is cool to walk over!

Little bumble bees!

Checking out some pulley systems!

Jude of course had to take a picture with the fox art!

We stayed at a cute little place near all of the places we were going to!

Corn hole in the back yard!

Caught this one reading on the front porch. ๐

The next day we went to the Cameron Park Zoo! Saw some bald eagles!

I am obsessed with zoos. I had so many dreams of working with animals at a zoo, but now I have my own personal zoo at home that I get to manage HAH!

The king rests ๐

All my guys!

Jude took a picture like this when he was younger and we had visited before, so had to reenact that haha!

Little bro couldn’t be left out!

I love this zoo because of how open the animal exhibits are, they feel so natural and like you can get closer to the animals!

Zoo days are always good days ๐

You can feed the giraffes here too, the line was SO long though so we skipped that this time!

I love giraffes so much!

We even ran into a friend from church while we were there!

Big boys!

I have always loved the little otter slide through the water, the otters swim all around you as you go down!

More slushie desserts haha…

Proof of parents!

Zoo day, check!

Chillin’ at our air bnb before dinner!

Mexican food dinner with these goobers!

Leave it to Jude to always find the biggest sticks!

Last stop before heading home is the Mammoth exhibit!

Love this mural here!

So crazy that 24 plus mammoths were unearthed here!

So interesting ๐

They were working on expanding the dig site…

Jenson was as big as a leg bone!

A fun few days, but always ready to head home! ๐
Check out these links if you want to see another trip to Waco! Very similar, but the boys are smaller hehe!
I love seeing the boys having fun at the museums and zoo! A nice little getaway!
