We began our last morning at Disney slowly, sleeping in a bit and enjoying breakfast in our room. It was so beautiful watching the sun come up over the water that morning, I really loved the view from our room! If you missed my previous post about our time at Epcot, you can see that here!
I spent some of the morning trying to get our things packed up since we had to be up and early the next day to get to the airport. After we finished eating, we hopped on the monorail to spend our last day at Magic Kingdom. I love to go back to Magic Kingdom on our last day so we can do anything we might have missed the first day, and to revisit our “favorites” before heading home. We had some side kicks with us today!
All of these tired but happy eyes hehe!
I love walking into the park and immediately being greeted by a parade! Hi Mickey!
This walk down Main Street never gets old!
I have really enjoyed all of the 50th anniversary decorations too! Haven’t really said too much about that yet but the castle was really pretty I thought!
By the time we got to the park, it was just about lunch time haha, of course right? So we went ahead and ate to beat some of the crowds and so no one would get hangry on us! Scored great seats right by the Small World ride!
We missed riding the Haunted Mansion ride earlier in the week, and being my favorite ride, we couldn’t have a trip and miss out on that one!
It’s so cheesy but I love it!!!
The Campbells are here!
All in the dark and ready to see home ghosts!
Got the family shot hehe!
We spent most of our afternoon in Tomorrowland…
You know we had to race some cars again!
Had these tailgaters on us the whole time haha…
One more trip around on the People Mover!
The only ride we get to sit with each other on haha….
Said hi to Buzz and shot some more aliens!
Jackson loves this one!
Afternoon time means treat and snack time! I love the anticipation here haha…
When I got caught taking his picture haha…
We went to see the Hall of Presidents! I love this one, it’s so moving!
And then we had the bright idea to ride “It’s a Small World” one more time…of course with our luck, they were having some trouble with the ride and we waited a while, and it completely stopped working right before we got on! Thankfully they figured it out and we did get to ride it!
Love this kiddo 😉
He was playing with his new cars while we ate dinner and I just kept thinking, I wonder how many more years he will want to do this… He’s been going strong since he was about 18 months old so maybe he will surprise me on that one.
We had been anticipating rain the whole day, I was so afraid the fireworks would get rained out since we had planned on staying tonight…the timing couldn’t have been more perfect though, it rained the whole time we were inside eating and then we had the most gorgeous sunset I’ve ever seen there…it was stunning. Things cleared up right on time for us to get a spot to watch the show!
I could not get over how gorgeous this was! What a way for Disney to say goodbye hehe!
Waiting for the fireworks to start!
I could not believe how crowded this night was…for all of the time they’re asking us to wear masks in lines and on rides where we are spaced out and then they cram us all in for the night show haha, doesn’t make sense to me!
The fireworks were so pretty! We loved the anniversary show and the projections on the buildings down Main Street!
A little blurry but had to post that excited face, I love watching them watch things!
You’ve been good to us Disney! We will miss you!
We missed our sweet girl’s 11th birthday while we were gone, but Waggie Pet Zone made sure she was celebrated! Isn’t this so funny?! They said she got extra play time today too!
Oooo waking up to go home is soooo hard! Poor boy slept until the very last minute!
Loaded up and headed back to the airport!
On the tram headed to our gate!
All buckled up and ready to go!
This little guy took a nap on the way home too, he was worn out!
We are back in Houston! We stayed the night here and then headed back to College Station the next day since our Airbnb wasn’t quite ready for us! I hope you enjoyed seeing our trip, if you want to see any of the other days, you can check find them under my Travel tab, where I have lots of other trips I’ve blogged about too! Happy traveling everyone!
I loved getting to see your wonderful trip! The sunset and the fireworks over the castle were amazing!
