We woke up bright and early ready to start our first day at the parks! If you missed our first day of travel, you can check that out here!
It’s amazing what a shower and a good nights rest can do for you haha! Headed to Magic Kingdom today and we are so ready for it!
I love how literally everything around here has Mickey on it hehe!
We stopped off at the main part of the Contemporary to grab some breakfast on our way out!
The boys loved watching the monorails come through the hotel! Of course, we could have walked to Magic Kingdom today but they wanted to ride the monorail around instead!
My disclaimer that a lot of our pictures for this post will be blurry selfies with masks on haha…
They love the monorail!
On the other side of the lake! You can see our resort from here!
I love a good welcoming party when you walk into the parks!
We got our family picture in front of the castle done first thing so we didn’t have to come back later and try to do it! Yes, even in October it was hot!
I love the 50th celebration look of the castle!
We rode the Peter Pan ride first off, for some reason this ride always seems to have a really long wait, so we wanted to get that one done while it wasn’t too bad!
And then we walked across to ride It’s a Small World!
Love me some London!
We walked over to Little Mermaid next and rode that one, it’s not the boys’ favorite but it’s pretty cute!
We made our way around to the World Speedway ride, which the boys are obsessed with!
Jenson was our driver this time around haha with Jude squished on the other side of me! Jacob and Jackson had their own car!
We walked across from there to put in our mobile food order and wait! I had this cutie side kick to keep me company!
After lunch, we rode the Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover ride, which is another of the boys’ favorites!
I got to ride next to this guy! Also, you know you’re a mom when you have to carry around everyone else’s sunglasses besides your own haha…
Time for some Laughs with Monsters Inc!
And then on to shoot some aliens with Buzz Lightyear!
We walked around to the Tiki Room to listen to the birds sing to us! It cracks me up that this is still here, but I love it so much. This is straight out of my childhood and I love that my kids are having the same experience!
We walked around to go to our early dinner reservation and there was a parade going on! We got to see Mickey and all sorts of characters! Since they weren’t doing dining plans this trip, we only made one or two dinner reservations and did everything else with mobile ordering.
No one was excited that we chose the Diamond Horseshoe haha…but Jacob and I like the BBQ family style food they serve here, and the cool self playing piano at the stage! Jenson was the only one who really ate the food with us, Jackson did a little too but we were cracking up at how not happy they all were about the dinner choice for tonight.
Headed over to ride Pirates of the Caribbean! Jude man was so tired of walking and standing in line at this point so Mama helped him out a bit!
Jude did not like this ride haha…he’s all smiles right now but that changed once he got splashed by the cannon. 😉
We had the bright idea of riding “one more ride” before heading out for the day and ended up waiting over and hour for Jungle Cruise. Most of the time estimations on the app have been than what we actually waited, but this one ended up waiting even more than what the estimation said. It was kind of awful because once we got into the line and realized how long it really was, we couldn’t get out.
Needless to say, we were VERY excited when we finally got on this silly boat haha…
Nothing like waiting over an hour to look at some fake animals haha! At least the girl driving the boat was pretty funny!
Pretty castle at night! We didn’t stay for the show tonight because it started so late, planned on seeing the fireworks later this week!
I love Mainstreet at night!
We did a little souvenir shopping on the way out!
And then of course had to race back up to the monorail haha, everything, I mean EVERYTHING is a race with these boys!
That was our first day at the parks! More to come! Check out our first day here and our other trips here!
Seeing all of your cute Disney pictures makes me want to go back to Disneyworld! Looks like a great day at the Magic Kingdom!
