Woke and headed out for breakfast on this third day of our trip!

I loved this beautiful mirror in the stairwell!

Of course, it was freezing and raining this morning haha…we didn’t mind though because back home it was scorching hot!

Pressed Cafe was delicious, so many yummy choices and great coffee.

Did a little fun shopping before we headed out!

Ready for a road trip today! Is it funny how usually I don’t like road trips but today I didn’t mind, probably because I knew I didn’t have to manage three boys in the back and could enjoy the scenery haha…

Shiny was ready too!

I took SO many pictures and videos along the way, it just did not do justice all of the gorgeous colors we saw on the way.

My eyes could not stop looking everywhere at every tree!

Just so pretty.

The closer we got to Vermont, the more color we saw!

Every time I see a state sign I think of how my Mom used to pull the car over on road trips and make us all get out to take a picture haha…

It felt like the most magical drive today…

On the way to Woodstock, we stopped at the Quechee Gorge Bridge, it was beautiful!

We walked down from the visitors center to the bridge to admire the views…

It was definitely worth the stop!

It is Vermont’s deepest gorge, and is 165 feet long!

We walked down the trail on the side of the gorge, this is looking back at the bridge.

The air seriously is cleaner here, I am convinced!

There was a dam at the top!

We stayed for a few minutes listening to the water…

Took some more pictures…

And then headed back to our car. I think the stop on a whole took maybe 45 minutes to an hour? Wasn’t too bad, and could have been a lot quicker if we hadn’t walked the trail.

Down the road a little further, we stopped at the Taftsville covered bridge. I loved seeing these covered bridges all over the state!

We drove through and then got out to walk around a bit.

We made it to Woodstock, Vermont! Originally, when I was planning our trip, I had wanted to stay here, but a lot of the hotels near town were booked up since it was so short notice. We decided to stop, eat, walk around and then head on to Stowe!

We grabbed a sandwich at the Mont Vert Cafe truck across from the restaurant since they had closed early for the day.

Such a cute little town!

Kind of felt like I was walking through a scene of Gilmore Girls haha…

Surprisingly, this little town was packed. I knew it would be crowded, but there were people everywhere!

We stopped at a little bookstore called “The Yankee Book Shop” and bought a couple of souvenir books!

Also, very cute.

And then, we had our first maple creamies at Woodstock Scoops, and I was done. It was SO GOOD. From then on out, if we saw a place with maple creamies anywhere, we stopped and got one haha.

We walked around a bit more, the old historic houses were so beautiful, especially this one with the large trees in the side yard.

We walked across the Woodstock Middle Covered Bridge…

Just SO pretty…so much more vibrant in person.

I can’t imagine living here!

See? Gilmore Girls!

We walked back to our car and got back on the road!

Headed to Stowe to see some Vermont mountains!

I know I keep saying it was pretty, but really. Just so pretty.

Loved seeing the mountains in the background!

We made it to Stowe and got settled in to our room at AWOL.

We were supposed to have a little cabin, but since they weren’t quite finished building them yet, (yes, I have no idea how we were able to book one since they weren’t finished!), they gave us a nice suite!

We walked down the road to Sushi Yoshi, and then called it a night. Yes, Jacob is being silly here haha…we were stuffed from amazing food and exhausted from a long (but awesome) day!
Love the beautiful fall colors! Dad and I need to take a fall trip! Mom
