So our next day of festivities began with a walk through Grand Central Station. I absolutely love this place, it was one of my favorite stops, such neat architecture and even though it was busy, it was relaxing to be there. Side note, on the way here we got an offer on our house haha! Definitely weren’t planning on selling our home while we were gone, but we did! Jacob and I talked about the offer and called later that afternoon to accept it. Crazy! We walked around Grand Central Station a bit, went upstairs to have a different view and then were on our way to our next stop.

Us with our little bundled up man! |
We walked on to the Empire State Building where Jackson was able to take a little nap on me while Jacob and Justin rode a 3-D experience, and Madeline kept me company! We waited in line to use the elevators to go to the top, and then enjoyed the views. We could have taken the stairs, but with a stroller and little man, we thought that might be too hard.

Waiting in line for the elevators! |
It has been so fun watching people interact with Jackson, he is an NYC supa-star! Everyone has loved him! |
Next on our list was to go to Little Italy for some yummy lunch and dessert! We took a cab based on some advice from our conceirege, but it took forever to get over to Little Italy from the Empire State Building! We were wishing we would have just taken the subway! Oops!
We took some fun pics anyway! |
One of my favorite pics from the whole trip! We had lunch at this really yummy pizza place called Rubirosa. |
YUM! |

Walking around Little Italy |
Of COURSE we stop for cannolis and ice cream!!! Caffe Palermo supposedly has the best! |
You know I was happy after eating some of this… |
We also walked around China town for a bit, contemplated trying to buy some nice trendy knock off bags from secret trendy bag ladies, but it didn’t work out. |
We learned our lesson, taking the subway to our next stop! |
Once we got to our stop, we walked down to the Metropolitan Museum. This was a neat museum, with a lot of different collections. In particular, the weapons and armory sections were very interesting, as well as the rooms they had decorated for different centuries of living and the Egyptian exhibits were great. I also liked the musical instruments section but I’m certainly partial! Again, I can’t believe that we did all of this in one day. My child looks so exhausted and I kind of feel like a horrible parent for pushing him to do so much with us, but he was a trooper! Gotta raise ’em right, we are a traveling family!
It’s hard to tell who is more excited here about this exhibit, Jacob or Madeline? haha… |
Loved these rooms, so ornate! |
Really nice conservatory to sit and eat or relax in to take a break and maybe feed a baby! |
One of my favorite exhibits, and Jacob’s too! |
I mean of course I would be excited about this exhibit! Miss those days of performing!! |
So this brings our third day to a close. We finally made it back to the hotel and literally grabbed something to eat on the way back. Had to get that baby to bed!
